Supportive Nursing Bras

  •  I bought various nursing bras (including Bravado) and didn't find any to be  really supportive and they lost elasticity quickly (washing cold/gentle in a lingerie bag and hanging to dry). When S was just under 2 months I went to  Orchard Street Corset Shop, and per their recommendation got normal bras and had them converted (for $10 each) to nursing bras by a woman in Brooklyn. I mailed them to her with a postage paid return envelope and she sent them back pretty quickly.  Orchard Street’s prices are a few dollars less than retail.

Best Layering Tank

  • This tank has nothing to do with nursing, but it is worth a mention as it is my hands down favorite tank.  It is virtually weightless, so it adds no bulk and it is silky, so clothes don't stick to it.  I use it if my neckline is low or if my shirt is too sheer.  It comes in black and nude. I've been wearing one under my work clothes almost every day for about four years!
