Birth Announcements, Thank You Notes and Holiday Cards

I did my son's birth announcement through Minted.com and love how they came out.  The style that I chose is called "delicate frame foil-pressed birth announcement." It is one of many of Minted'sMinted's Foil-Pressed Birth Announcements. I didn’t upgrade my paper, the cheapest option is thick enough.  If you sign up by clicking here, you should get $25 off of your first order.  I ordered mine with a blank back and wrote thank you notes and personal notes on the back.

You can input your addresses and they address your envelopes for free (I suggest you organize addresses before the birth).  They charge a lot for printing return addresses, so I suggest that you buy a return address stamp elsewhere.  I got a really nice one on Etsy.com from a seller named Fall for Design.

As a gift, someone framed the birth announcement for us.  It hangs at the entrance of S's nursery and I enjoy looking at it every time I enter his room!

So far, I've used Minted.com only for the birth announcements but I've received holiday cards that friends made through them too.  Minted.com also sells artwork, including adorable and whimsical pieces designed for the nursery.

If someone sent me a gift after receiving the announcement, I sent a separate thank you note from Etsy.com from a seller named mybabyparty.  The notes that I got are shaped like onesies -- they are really cute and were very inexpensive.
